This half-day, 4-hour course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and others who want to provide top-notch direct patient care to children in their emergency department or urgent care settings.
Developed and taught by Dr. Emory Petrack, who has more than 15 years of clinical, teaching and administrative experience in pediatric emergency medicine, Dispensing Excellence in Pediatric Emergency Care focuses on providing excellence in all clinical and non-clinical aspects of emergency care for children
But what you take away from the course doesn't stop there. As long-time "in the trenches" practitioners of children's care, we recognize that in the midst of a busy department, we sometimes inadvertently focus more on the task than on the child in front of us. The techniques taught in this course will not only leave the children and families you serve less traumatized; it will leave you and your colleagues, as direct providers of clinical care, feeling more satisfied with your jobs as well.
Comments of past attendees:
"Appreciated ability to provide specific practice guidelines and apply the perspective of a well-practiced clinician."

"Don't laugh - it could have been longer, covering more topics. We just can't hear enough of this stuff from a seasoned warrior."
"Wonderful. Thank you so much!"
"Always good to discuss issues with active colleagues."
"Very good, down to earth program."
