Sharpening Your Focus on Pediatric Standards of Care

This half-day, 4-hour accredited course is designed for nurses, medics and other professional staff who work with families and want to sharpen their focus on enhancing the experiences children and their families receive in emergency departments or urgent care centers.

Developed and taught by an experienced pediatric emergency nursing educator and a certified child life specialist with years of experience in the emergency department, Sharpening Your Focus on Pediatric Standards of Care will arm you with the strategies and tactics you need to take your department's or center's child care to the next level.

But what you take away from the course doesn't stop there. As long-time "in the trenches" practitioners of emergency care, we recognize that in the midst of a busy department, we sometimes inadvertently focus more on the task than on the child in front of us. The techniques taught in this course will not only leave the children and families you serve less traumatized; it will leave you and your colleagues, as nursing professionals, feeling more satisfied with your jobs as well.
